About Me
My name is Carolina Munoz. I'm a Product designer located in Miami, Fl. With over nine years of experience in the creative/digital industry, I delivered visual solutions for different clients across different platforms.
I studied Industrial design back in Colombia, where my passion for design led me to understand the user and the context that I had to keep in mind to provide the best product for the user.
Here in the United States, I moved into the digital arts, where I worked in a Marketing and advertising agency for recognized B2B clients like LATAM Airlines and Motorola Solutions, delivering micro-sites, landing pages, digital marketing, and print assets.
During the past few years, I've learned about the human center design, understanding their needs and pain points, and delivering great experiences using the design thinking methodology. I enjoy every phase of the process, from discovery/research, sketching, user testing, and iterating to the handing off.
Some of my recent experiences have been with two start-ups: "Fusion Recruiting Labs" and "Health Karma," as a Senior Product Designer, where I had the pleasure to work with incredible mentors and co-workers.
Nowadays, I'm working for the UX digital agency Gallardo Labs for some recognized clients like Virgin Voyages, Brightline, and Norwegian Cruises as a Lead UX Designer. My role is to collaborate with the team, discuss and produce the best user experience for the different platforms, learn from user testing and present them to the clients, making sure we meet the business goals. Here I discovered my passion for Design systems and their importance to the entire team. So I ran the "Figma Lessons" once a month for the team to learn more about the tool and design systems.
In my free time, I like to create illustrations, work and learn more about UX, watch movies, exercise, cook healthy and creative meals, have an eco-friendly lifestyle, and spend some time with my family :)
